A wonderful dining experience

I took my boyfriend to celebrate his 40th birthday on Friday night and we had a wonderful experience. Our waiter John was extremely knowledgeable about the specials, the food menu, and the extensive wine list. We were told the special of 2 entrees and a bottle of wine for $75 had ended but John was willing to ask management to accomodate us. We were thrilled. The thinly sliced kobe beef appetizer was amazing. We both ordered steaks which came prepared to perfection along with a delicious twice baked potato. We finished with a decadent chocolate cake that was oozing chocolate fudge. Not only was the meal more that what we expected, but the service was the best I have received in a very long while. We will definitely be returning to the Milwaukee Chop House very soon!
Pros: service, food, parking
Cons: none

We went to dinner on a Friday night. I made a reservation on their web-site, our table was waiting for us when we got there. I would suggest checking the web site for their special; 2 plates and a bottle for $75.00. www.milwaukeechophouse You get to pick from 6 entrees and one of 4 bottles of wine. The items are right off the menu. Our server John was very informative and prompt. My steak, the filet was done to order. I have no complaints and would definatly go back.
Pros: use web site for reservations and specials
Cons: none
A Big Let-Down

We were so looking forward to an evening of sensational steaks...and didn't get it at Milwaukee Chophouse. The enviornment was trendy, nice...but conversation was hard when you are swatting fruitflies and houseflies (one ended up in my friend's drink). The waitstaff, though nice, was a bit unpolished. My husband ordered a scotch on rocks, with it being presented in a heaping mound of ice cubes jammed in a little glass, barely enough scotch to even color the ice. Who can drink that? He had to pull out some cubes to find the drink.
Calamari to start: Mostly breading, over-salted. Prime rib was tough and poorly seasoned; the ribeye, though, was perfection.
Don't order the tasteless creamed spinach and just set aside the horseradish cream...it may as well have been mayonaise!
For what we paid ($300 for 4 people), we expected to get a lot more...more polished service, higher quality of atmosphere, and especially the food, it was terrible.
We are parents who cherish these rare moments of going out and Milwaukee Chophouse was just a big let-down.
Pros: Good Parking
Cons: Bad Food
